Lt. Thommy Halfen

Mr. Halfen has conducted crime prevention seminars throughout the United States for more than 9 years. He has been in law enforcement since 1991 working as the Assistant Chief of Police in the City of Emerson, Georgia, and as a uniform officer for the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department in Georgia and the City of Versailles Police Department in Missouri.

He currently holds four Police Officer Standard Training (P.O.S.T.) instructor certifications: Defensive Tactics; Oleoresin Capsicum; ASP Baton; and General Instructor. He volunteered his time as an instructor for the North Central Law Enforcement Academy in Georgia where he taught new recruits and veterans traffic enforcement, domestic violence intervention, rape crisis, interpersonal communication, crisis intervention and defensive tactics.

Prior to his law enforcement career, Mr. Halfen served in the United States Navy as a member of the Search and Rescue and Special Response Teams, and is a decorated Persian Gulf War veteran. He has received awards of recognition and certificates of appreciation throughout his career including being awarded the Key to the City by the Mayor and Counsel Members of the City of Sikeston, Missouri.
